From the moment I walked through the door to enquire about the courses offered I was buffalowed into believing I was going to recieve an education that would compensate the price of the education and offer a better future.
The first day of class seemed alright but I had never been to college what did I know? The beginning of every new semester the books were never there, not that it really mattered because they were so full of mistakes that the teachers refused to teach from them; instead they used books from prior years before ITT had been sold out to money hungry share holders. The teachers themselves were being forced to upgrade there education after the students surpassed them with degrees. Several of our classes were taught by complete incompetent people.
One class was so bad that one of my fellow students was spending more time training the instructor then even beginning to learn something new. The entire class walked out after the 2nd class with that man. To replace him our directive stepped in and he was learning right along with us so basically the course was self taught which with the books they gave us was no easy task. The labs were never correct so basically it was nothing but frustrating especially for an electronics student. They charged a fortune for worthless books and they're only reply was well look up the information on-line.
Everytime and I feel safe with saying everytime the final came the materials suggested for study were never applicable to the test and one teacher quit before the final and he had made his own final for us to take because he new how incompetent the actual final was and the material covered could not possibly learned in the amount of time given for each class "One teacher even admitted the course of material expected to be learned he would not have been able to teach in a real college in less then a year" this of course affecting any hopes of getting a grant of any kind at all because there was no possible way of keeping your grades up to grant level.
School for working adults yeh right! The penalty's for missing even one class due to work could make an A student fail 3 times your out rule.
Then they state you can go morning noon or night, right after my first semester they took away the noon classes forcing m to go to nights which after a while conflicted with my job because my job went to 12 hour shifts and I was graveyard. I could go on and on but I think you get the gist of it.
Save your selves and if there is a lawsuit sign me up I will never be able to cover the costs of those Sallie Mae loans which of course unbenounced to me for some reason 1/2 of those loans are private loans which are costing me more money then I will have in a life time. It also turns out that the financial aide dropped the ball on my last semester and I got charged 5,000.00 out of my pocket due right now.
