Hi all, I need some help... I should have come here before I got ripped off by Bernheim & Rice Inc. Dba/cigarrest.
I, too, ordered the free 30 day trial for $5.95 and was charged $206.65! Yup, I now feel like I have sucker written on my forehead.
Well, I called them and they said that my package was sent out today via UPS, but they don't have the tracking number and won't have it until later this week early next week and I am to call back then to get it. If in the meantime the package is delivered, I am to refuse delivery, as soon as they get it back, you got it, I get a full refund.
I then contacted my bank, I used a debit card for the purchase, the funds are "pending" and haven't yet cleared, so I can't cancel the order or file a dispute until the funds clear, which will bounce 5 checks to the tune of $495.00.
So... I contacted the BBB and filed a complaint, then I contacted the California Attorney Generals Office and filed a complaint, then I contacted the Arkansas Attorney Generals Office and filed a complaint, I did it over the internet and this is where I live, so I figured it couldn't hurt, then I contacted UPS to see if there was a way I could refuse delivery BEFORE the package is even picked up! I thought that was pretty ingenious, that way it would never leave the warehouse and they would have to issue a refund, well, you can't do that... I tried.
So, who else should I call? Where else should I go to file a complaint? Does anyone have any other ideas?
