Puppy Elite Kennel sold me a female AKC english bulldog in March. I picked up the dog at a very late hour in the evening, but was assured that AKC paperwork would follow by mail in about 6 weeks. After about 2 months, I contacted them and was told that they would track down the paperwork and get it to me as soon as possible. I was told to call back the following day to ensure that the paperwork was found.
Since then, everytime that I try to call them, they do not answer the telephone. I have called at different times of the day, and I guess they have caller ID because they never answer. I have emailed them several times, and have had no response. I also contacted the BBB and after about two months I was notified that despite 3 attempts to gain information from the kennel, they have received no response, so they closed my case and said that the kennel's failure to answer to the complaint has rated them unsatisfactory, the lowest rating for the BBB. They advised me to file a complaint with the department of consumer affairs of NY. I am exploring that option. I just wish that my puppy would have had its papers so I could enter her in dog shows, etc.
I am thankful though that despite her skin condition, she is not deathly ill. I would have hated to lose out on the purchase price as well as the dog, because I know they wouldn't have held up their guarantee of health.
