I went to this site to get a list of foreclosed homes in our area and our daughter's area. I wanted access only to these lists and understood my $10.00 would give me that and no more. Six weeks later, a debit for $297 was withdrawn from my account for a Foreclosure School. I received no reminder that a trial period was in effect and about to expire, or any other communication from them.
I contacted my Credit Union. They are looking into this unauthorized withdrawal and will report back to me.in addition, they have cancelled my debit cards and will issue new ones so no more withdrawals can be made from my account. They will also forward my data to the police, who will look into it. However, thought the bank has been very helpful, my phone calls to Foreclosure Town/Jordan Publishing have been unproductive. I emailed both the customer service department at Foreclosure World/Jordan Publishing and Foreclosure Town at their Contact email address. I received an answer from Customer service that was very abrupt. They can not refund my money because the trial period has expired. That is the end of it. I didn't even realize there was a trial period, much less that it would cost me $297.!!!
Needless to say, I will be much more careful about researching real estate listings in the future, and all internet transactions. I am still hoping for some type of resolution of this problem. I see that others have been promised some kind of supplies for this same amount, but I have received no supplies, nor do I want any.
