I must be an idiot...
I stayed with Netspend after the first issue, because well, I understood what had happened and it was the only issue I had ever had. I pay all my bills with Billpay. Bad move.
Things were fine until I purchased something on ebay and let Billpay send payment. I eagerly awaited my item and nothing for 2 weeks. I called Netspend, transaction went through ok... Blah blah. OK, so I contacted seller on Ebay. His words? Where is your payment? 2 days later I get a little yellow flag and a message in my inbox. UNpaid Item Strike... Are you kidding?
This is ridiculous. I call NS, they tell me at this time Billpay is a SEPERATE entity. I explain to them I don't care, I want to know where my payment is!
2. A store charge card contacts me... They have reduced my credit limit for non payment! They also give me a 29.00 late fee and tell me my payment didn't get there.
At this time, furious, I call NS. I keep asking to speak to a supervisor. 6 hours and 38 min later I get to the senior account specialist or whatever he is called. I have already been hung up on 5 times. Transferred to be hung up on 12 times.
The specialist doesnt speak good English and I have a difficult time understanding. I explain the situation and he says he will take care of it and he apologizes. He also explains again that they have many complaints for billpay and they are hoping to get rid of them. I agree with him.
1 week later, my unpaid item strike is in effect and I beg the seller not to give me bad feedback and prove my payment was processed and it is a bank issue. Then the real fun starts...
My student loan is set to go out. (now i tell you, because i know the employee is going to rebutt this) I schedule my payments 2 weeks in advance and give a 3 day window to make sure I am on time for everything.
I had a student loan payment set for a certain day, making sure it will go out in that 3 day window. Now mind you, if I am 1 day late on this my loan will default, I will be kicked off the program and lose everything. My life centers around this monthly payment
I get a call 6 days later from my student loan. Where is your payment? OMG, I totally freak out, I mean seriously I explain to them I have sent it, he says we don't have it, I am at a loss. He says my loan is set to default and I cry. I mean bawl like a baby. I work hard for my money. I have direct deposit so this doesn't happen. I do everything possible short of offering my hand in marriage to make sure it doesnt default.
Last call to Netspend was 4 hours, got them to fax (i hope) payment was sent. Since then I have not used billpay. I have found out that 4 of my bills have not been recieved until 1 week later then expected. Because of my good history I have been able to thwart my creditors from discrediting me.
As for NS, I have really had problems with billpay only, however since NS chooses to continue to use them, I will no longer use NS. I am trying to withdraw my money now and that seems like a headache in itself. Stay away!!!
