I would like to abolish the practice of third-party verification contracts, nationwide, where legislation has abolished the practice. A third party verification contract is where you are being recorded to agreeing to a contract.
How many people retain information that was heard in a recording, even twenty-four hours later; let alone months later. It is dishonest when you did not solicit the contract, but was cohearsed into a contract by misleading guerilla sales tactics.
However, without a signed original signature, no contract should be valid. (By the way the sales agent that mislead me into the contract, I found out later was fired. Could it be because he had other victims, and or complaints?)
Anyone on tape, can promise to pay a million dollars for any such thing, however, without a signed signature which upholds the validity of the contract should be deemed invalid. Word of mouth contracts in times past were never considered contractural even in a court of law.
Idearc Media has refused to honor my request for a full dismissal of the advertising charges.
I am now being forced to pay for advertising for two ads that I was not fully aware of what I was agreeing to.
Idearc media is now threatening my credit rating. My consumer rights have been violated.
Millions of Americans have been violated in this manner. I desire to have legislation to abolish this practice.
