I received a call today from a nicole thompson with cornerstone lending, she said i was approved for a 10,000 personal loan at 8% interest for 5 years at the rate of 203.00 a month, however first since my credit is not so good, i would have to send her a security deposit of 2,000 dollars and that 12-24 hrs later i would be loaned 10,000 directly into my checking account.
Even though i desperately need the money, something did not sound right. She also wanted me to fax my drivers license, ss card and last paycheck stub to her before she would fax me back a loan contract. I told her i would but soon as i got to work looked up internet loan scams and saw her name mentioned. I called her at her work number and left a voice mail that i would not fax anything to her and was reporting her name and number to the ftc, also if i had any identity theft happen, i would give them her name, mumer and fax number as the for sure culprit.
Dont know if she was legit or not but never took the chance, i can certainly relate to shannon in little rock, ark. And am so glad i never sent any money
