I really wanted to consolidate my bills into one payment each month. I had several credit cards that were killing me on interest rates so when I applied for a loan online and got a phone call from a guy named Kevin Bradley i thought life was going to get a little easier for me... Ha was I wrong!!!
He said that i was approved for a $6000 loan which would have only made my payments $140.61 for 48 months at a 6% interest rate which sounded awesome to me! I figured that i would be saving a ton of money and can pay it off way before 48 months. So i told "Kevin" I was interested in this loan. He then said that this would be a secured loan because of my credit score and said i would have to send $700 and then my first payment would not be due until August 1st. He said the $700 would be collateral because I didnt own my car or a home. Which made sence to me at the time.
He then faxed over my "contract" and I looked it over and it looked pretty legit. So I signed it and faxed it back. He said he also needed my checking account number to put my loan into after I sent my collateral payment, so i gave him that and he needed a copy of my drivers license and a copy of a paycheck stub...
After i faxed him back the paper work, i called him and he gave me instructions on how to send the collateral payment to him. Everything sounded good until he said I had to send the money to a lady named Miriam Lester in CANADA! That caught my attention and sounded weird... So i researched it. Why would i have to send $700 to a person in canada when the company was in west virginia???
At this point I was real leary and did research and found out this was a SCAM... So i immediately closed my checking account and needless to say never sent Kevin the $700. Even tho i didnt lose any money, he still has all my important information... Such as Social security number... Address... Drivers license... And thats more of a hassel then being in debt!!! So if anyone from this company contacts you, just hang up the phone!!! Dont Get Caught!!!
