Joey Proper is a ripoff artist that scams customers by doing false refrigerator repairs. I had him out twice to fix my broken refrigerator, and paid him a total of $300, and it is still not working. He won't honor his quote "90 day warranty", and won't return phone calls. I have called him literally hundreds of times, and he won't return the calls. And just like another person here that reported him, if you call from another number he doesn't recognize, he finds out it is you and hangs up saying he can't hear you.
I wished I was smart enough to lookup his civial and criminal case history in Dallas county before I used him, because if I had saw that, I would have never have used him. Try it yourself - search under Joey Shane Proper - or Appliance Repair King.
