On this date I recieved a phone call from a Company so called United Processing Inc. They first asked for my mother who I currently live with and I advised them she wasnt home then asked for my step-father and he wasnt at home as well. She then told me to take a message for them both and asked me to jot the information down. She then stated her name was "KIMBERLY JONES" with United Processing and was calling in regards to case #489675 regarding legal charges. I started thinking to my self are my parents in trouble and they didnt tell me? I asked who the legal charges were againsit and they stated my name. I then paniced! I said well that is me and what is this pertaining to? She said she was asked to contact me on this last and final day to make a lump sum payment of 450$ by 4:30 pm that day or they would be notifying the City in which I lived in to have me picked up on a felony charge for a worthless check wrote back in February to a payday loan place. She then stated she had done a background check on me and said she noticed I had been in some trouble awhile back and asked me what it was about. (pertaining to probabtion) I then played into it not knowing and she said being that I was in trouble before this would def. Be a felony for me and a warrant for my arrest would be put out. She said that they would be contacting my mom at her job first which then freaked me out more because I didnt want my mom to get upset or even to find out. I asked how I could make the payment she then advised me I could pay Western Union. So she gave me the proper instructions on how to pay through them and her secretary Lisa Waters would pick the payment up once I had sent it out. I told her I would pay by credit card but she kept insisting that I pay with cash at the time I didnt know why? After calling Western Union they informed me that this seemed like a scam and cancelled the 450$ payment and instructed me to call the attorney general in my state and speak with them. After speaking with them they advised me this was most def. A SCAM and advised me not to pay and said they would send me a complaint form to fill out againsit the company. I also questioned them over again that whether I could get arrested or not and they stated NO that it was againsit the law for them to even have mentioned that to me. I also was instructed to send a letter to the company its self to advise them not to contact me ever again by phone. After the phone call with the attorney general office the company called again. Exactly at 4:30 pm when the payment was due. It was Ms. Kimberly Jones again asking to speak with me. I then told the lady I knew what she was doing was a scam and I had spoken with the Financial Department Services through the state of Florida and they gave me my rights and advised me they were def. Trying to scam me. She began to get very upset and started screaming at me that this wasnt and if I F@#$'n wanted to speak with her supervisor I could I told her that wasnt necessary because I filed a complaint againsit their company. She then hung up! So now I know this was all a scam so please please please dont let them fool you.
