John Schintgen Northern Haulers
Provided no service did not return deposit of $3,000.00 Ripoff

I employed John Schintgen, Northern Haulers Co. To move my boat from Kingston, Ontario to Vernon British Colombia in Canada, though Uship an internet service provider. He accepted my bid on July 12. He said it would take five days to move it. He required one half of the $6,000.00 bid prior to moving the boat. I bank transferred $3,000.00 into his account. After the first week he said the trailer needed some brackets for the trailer bunks. It took another few days for them to arrive. He told me he was stopped at Customs going from the U.S. To Canada by Canadian Customs. After about $200.00 of telephone calls to various government agencies in both Canada and the U.S.By myself on his behalf I found out his Company was not allowed to haul between two destinations in Canada. He telephoned me and had a solution. He said he contacted another hauler who was hauling a boat from Texas to Quebec in Canada. Once he dropped off the boat in Quebec he would proceed to Kingston, Ontario Canada and pick up the boat and take it to Vernon, British Columbia on the Canadian side. That was two weeks ago. I have telephoned his cell phone about 30 times leaving courtious messages for him to contact me. I have left e-mails at his address with no response from his sectretary. It is comical because when he wanted funds for a deposit his secretary responded to my e-mails immediately. I know he listens to my voice mail as his mail box is full in the morning with my messages from the previous day. It has been over a month since he accepted my bid. I talked to Uship and they say they are only a third party and are only able to get myself and John talking. They as well have been unable to contact him so they have suspended his account with them. They have no recourse in obtaining my $3,000.00 deposit he has stollen from me. Living in Canada I do not know the procedure for contacting the American authorities in case of litigation. I would love to be able to charge him with fraud. I recommend that if he ever gets back in businee NEVER, NEVER EMPLOY HIM OR HIS FIRM.
