Contacted me during my job hunt. I am a college graduate and they offered me a position where they would fly me to California to train me for six weeks and offer me a place to stay at company condo w / all expenses paid. They claimed there was a 15 month contract that must be completed and a deposit of 3000. The deposit was to ensure my completion of the 15 month contract.
The lady made the job sound perfect for me and offered me several things such as a 5000 automatic raise every 6 months on top of the extra large 60000 salary. The conversations always consisted of what they could do for ME and the 3000 deposit. The lady was Indian and claimed they had another office/headquarters in India.
After several attempts to verify the authenticity of this business, I found several inconsistencies. These consisted of: no company mention ANYWHERE on the net, different company spelling on California business registry, Listing only two employees on Mantra.com (the Indian lady and her husband), 4D office in India (different spelling) claimed to have nothing to do with them, number on website is to a cell phone, man answers number on website as "hello" every time and then is very nervous, recruiter upset and hanging up on me after asking them if it was a scam, calling the "parent company' who also knew nothing of the office, the office building having no listing of their office, and the url (4dusa) being listed as a private account with no contact info.
I was lucky and could smell the scam and saved myself from a huge headache - Please DONT FALL FOR THEIR TRICK!
