Thank you. While my story is very much like the others posted here, I will recap it quickly. I recieved a telephone call from someone who sounded very ill, coughing and somewhat incoherent. She was calling from the office of Robert Dickerson and was I ever lucky, he was going to be in the area, and would come to see me. I told her in what I thought were clear terms, "No Thanks".
Well, this fellow showed up just the same, and also seemed to have the same hearing/comprehension problem as the woman on the telephone, just without the symptoms of full-blown TB. Well, I wasn't buying, repeatedly telling the guy "thanks but no", as he started filling out a contract with my name and business name on it. I guess that he was just trying to save me from myself!
Well, he wasn't going to give up. He asked to borrow the phone, makes a call, then hands me the phone. Now I am getting the same high-pressure pitch from some mullet at their strip-mall HQ! At this point I am getting annoyed, because this fellow has arrived without an appointment, won't take no for an answer, and is wasting time that I really can't spare.
So here is what I did. I took out a manila folder, stapled the guy's business card to it, and placed all of the contracts and brochures inside. I told him that I would review it, and had to leave for an appointment. I didn't sign anything. They call weekly now, still trying to close the deal. Thanks, usacomplaints.com!!
