Just a word of advice to any students who are considering applying to Green Corps for their year-long training...
First of all, what they are accomplishing is tremendous, but the methods that are utilized for selecting applicants need improving.
When you go for your face-to-face interview, they may only select two or three individuals from among a pool of 20-30. And, the competition is extremely competitive among some of the best and brightest future environmentalists in this county.
However, if you are not TOTALLY SERIOUS about their campaigning training program, you might consider another avenue. The program is very intense and not for the weak willed...
Furthermore, if you are being squeezed by your finances, as most of us are students and know about this topic very well, considering the quantity of applicant selections available, you might also consider another organization in the environmental field, and there are many now and more in our future.
