I responded to an e-mail from this company regarding building my credit by applying for one of their UNSECURED Platinum merchandise credit cards. After receiving the application and reading all the "fine print" I sent my $39 application fee and an additional $10 to rush the paperwork to receive my card in 3-5 business days. I finally received my package containing the card, order forms, and their merchandise catalog 3 weeks later.
So they defrauded me out of the $10 rush money and if that was all, I probably wouldn't be so irrate! Upon opening the packet and reading the paperwork, I find out that for every puchase I make I have to send them a down payment, in cash or money order, for 35% of the entire order.
THAT WAS NEVER MENTIONED IN THE APPLICATION FORM OR THE E-MAIL!!! This was supposed to be a satisfaction guaranteed or your money back deal. So I called their "800" customer service number to ask for a refund and informaion on returning this garbage and guess what? NO ANSWER!!! I will continue to try to get satisfaction but I also feel it's my obligation to report the people as frauds.
