Palisades Collection Agency, Had the sheriff department to put a hold on my checking account. The reason was for a $1650.83 phone bill with AT&T.in which i never had. I called AT&T in inquire about this bill. They told me the last i had phone service with them was in 1998 and they never heard of this company. I called the lawyers of Palisades and one their asst.informed me that i was wrong in calling AT&T in ask about the bill in question that i shouldn't harrass their clients, then he asked in a demanding tone if i was going to pay this bill. Earlier, during my conversation with palisades they did not have my s. S number and asked me if anyone else was on my checking account. I told them my mother was on my account because i was disable. They tried to tell me that maybe it was my mothers debt and wanted her s. S number. I called my mother and she called them with her info. Then their story changed that there a person with the same name only a middle int. That wasn't me. Then i called Palisades back then it was my name with my husbands SS#. So i called AT&T back my husband has never had a account with them. Now no one will answer the phone when i call. I don't know to do. I need my money they never should have been allowed to do should a thing to ones account.
