It appears that GIS changed their name.in April, the company was GISand in May it was changed to GIF. The company that I dealt with is exactly the same as GIS. The name has canged by one letter and the street address has changed.
I have recently become disabled and was hoping to get some finacial help with bills. My family is struggling with a Work Comp check, instead of my paycheck. I'm only getting about 2/3's of what I made when I was working. Anyway, I found GIF on the internet. I wanted to make sure that they were legitimate, so I came here to Usa Consumer Complaints.com and looked them up. I didn't find them here, so I went and looked for them on the Better Business Buruea's website. Didn't find GIF there either. So, I aurthorized them to take $398 from my checking account. I borrowed the money from my daughter and son-in-law.
GIF withdrew the funds from my account on May 16th. Within 15-20 days of them taking out the funds, I'm supposed to receive the applications for all the grants I qualify for. Then you have 30 days, from the time you receive the paperwork to get a refund, if you aren't satisfied with the service you've received.
Here it is Day 25 and no paperwork has been received by me. I called GIF and talked to my rep there, Joshua Leeds. He immediatly told me that I definitely qualify for the "30 Day, No Hassle, Money Back Guarantee". He didn't even ask if I wanted to wait a few more days and see if the papers came, right away. All I had a chance to say was that I hadn't gotten my papers and that it had now been 21 days since they took my money. He told me to call the same number back and ask to talk with Customer Service and that he was running my information over to them immediatly.
I hung up the phone and called right back, as instructed by Josha Leeds.instead of a person answering the phone, I got a voice mail recording. I now have been calling 3-6 times a day and leaving messages, for 8 days. Always the same voice mail and always no returned call.
Had I known that they changed their name, I wouldn't have became a victim. I've posted their new name, old name and new street address.
