Spartan has been illegally converting funds provided under the program that were intended for the borrowers. This is being done by the school requiring the intended borrower to sign a statement leaving the funds in excess of tuition in the hands of the school. Spartan told me that they were required to return the check to the lender if I failed to sign the paper. They told me that I had to sign the paper of I could not go to school at spartan. I signed it, and they released the check. They told me that if i did not sign the paper, I would have to leave and not come back.
Spartan is using this method to deny students their excess financial aid. Somehow, the excess always seems to disappear. Spartan has been doing this for a very long time, and I want it to stop.
