I have been a promotional model for over 5 years. I receive emails on a daily basis to sign up for various promotions from different companies. I received an email from National Event Staffing (I'll refer to them as NES). I applied for the position and was told to hold the dates as long as possible because they were interested in me, so I did.
A week before the event I did not hear from them so I sent an email asking if I was confirmed or not because I had not been contacted thus far. I finally received an email (not even a phone call which was odd) back the night prior to the event saying I had been booked. This was last minute but it was my first chance to work with the company so I took it. The event was Feb 23-24th.
After the event I promptly faxed in my time sheets and sent an email asking if they reimbursed parking. I never received a reply. I tried a phone call - it's an 866 number, so no one answers, you just get a voicemail. So I left a message. No one contacted me.
A couple months went by and then I started to wonder if they were going to even pay me at all. I began to contact them again, phone and by email. Freedom Jolly (Account Manager) replied to one of my emails stating he had moved my payment up in accounting and that he would get back to me.
It's been 3 weeks now and he hasn't attempted to contact me. I called again and again and threatened to contact the client directly to complain. They still haven't contacted me so I contacted the client and I'm hoping they will contact NES and maybe this will get me paid!
