I was a back up for the Fun Factory event in Mentor, Ohio at Mentor Mall on 9/18. I was a last minute back up (I received a text message asking if I could work the event the night before). Cassandra gave me all the details which included texting her when I got to the event.
When I got to the mall, I could not locate were the event was. I kept texting and calling Cassandra but she would not answer. Finally she called me back to tell me that she will try to get a hold of the manager for the event.
I found the event myself and waited to see if I was needed. The mangers for the event were late, as I was suppode to wait until 11:30 to see if I was needed. Needless to say, they did not need me. I let Cassandra know that I was not needed and she told me that she would let accounting know and that I would get paid $30 for being a back up... That was on 9/18/11
As of today (1/25), I still have yet to get paid. I waited until 10/25 before I sent and email about my missing payment, but then I had been missing 2 payments from them (9/11 and 9/18). Molly Levine responded with, "I will forward your inquiry on to the accounting department and get back to you." And the was the only response that I received.
On 11/3, I sent another email because no one ever responded to me and Molly Levine responded to my email saying "We apologize for the delay of response. I am out of the office today but will forward this to the accounting department and get back to you tomorrow."
On 11/7, I still had not heard back from Molly so I sent another email and she responded in saying, "I forwarded on your information and will get back to you some time today." and "I totally understand your frustration and will do everything in my power to get you an answer by 5pm today." and "The accounting department did tell me that the check was sent out on the 24th of october which means it was sent out 5 business days after that. If you do not receive it by the end of the week please let me know. Also, please verify that your address is correct in your profile. Thank you for your patience."
I did receive a check but it was not for both events. It was only for the event from 9/11 for $25.
On 11/9 I emailed her to let her know that I only received 1 payment and she never responded back to me.
Because no one sent me a response and I still never received a payment, I sent another email on 11/23 and guess what... No one responded to me.
There voicemail says that if you are calling about a payment to just email them, well because I emailed them so much I decided to leave a voicemail. But of course no one called me back.
I emailed a bunch more times with no response and I also called again which Molly called me back and left me a VM confirming my address and said they would resend out the check. I called her back and reconfirmed my address and I also emailed her.
I emailed her on 1/20 and she responded saying, "A payment for the back up fee was sent out to you. This is not a runaround. You should have received it already. If it does not get to you by Monday please let me know as we did receive it back in the mail." Which is BS because she had my address.
I never received the payment on Monday or Tuesday and I have yet to hear a response from Molly or anyone else about my $30. The crazy part is that when I log in to my account it doesn't even show past event that were worked and when you are suppose to go in to say you worked them, you can't. So basically they don't show proof that you worked the event.
Even though it is only $30, I still want my momey because I drove to Mentor and was not needed so I used gas. They paid me for being a back up on 9/11 and for that one I didn't even need to be there in order to know if I was needed or not. I just had to call an hour before the event to see if I was needed..
If I took time out my day to do what was asked of me then they should do the same. I have only been doing promos for over a year now and I wish I had seen the other posted that others have put, but I know now and I will not stop until I get my money.
I will make sure I let any and everyone no, never to work with this company. They have some good promos but its not good if you don't get paid for them.
