Buyer beware! Do not let these people in your home!
1 Nation Restoration came to my house on Wednesday May 23. My wife called them from a coupon she saw in a direct mailer for $59.95 for 10 air conditioning vents to be cleaned. Once they arived they did an initial inspection and added up additional "problems" with our perfectly working system and a final price of $852.00. Telling us that there is mold everywhere and they they will clean it and spray some antibacterial spray to prevent the mold from reappearing. Fearing for the mold my wife and I negotiated a lower price of $625.00 for them to clean the unit as well as the vents.
At that time they came into our house with what looked like a large vaccume and some spray bottles. The "worked" on the unit for about 45minutes and then stated they were finished.
The next day when we decided to use our central air system and found the unit wasn't working at all. We then contactd 1 Nation Restoration to report the problem and they refused to come to back to our home to look at the unit. They wouldn't let us speak to someone in charge, wouldn't give us any last names or addresses of their company, left us on hold for ever as well as hanging up on us repeatedly. We also tried to have them fax us a copy of their "certified technicans" Certification. At that I was told that I was being unreasonable and wouldn't do it.
If anyone else has had a problem with this "company" please contact me. I refuse to let them get away with this. I have reports with the Better Business Burean of NJ as well as the NJ Dept. Of Consumer Affairs. I also intend to seek damages for the company itself.
