On our April business telephone bill, we received a charge for $49.95 plus taxes for a total charge of $54.07 from USABD Internet Solution Monthly Fee. The bill also reads, "The calls on this page were forwarded by The Billing Resource the clearinghouse agent for USBD." Also, the logo for "Integretel" is with this charge.
This is not an authorized charge for our account.
They can't even fraudulently bill correctly. They spell their name USBD and USABD. They bill for "Internet", but "the calls on this page were forwarded by" indicating the charges were for "calls".
How can these people just add charges to telephone bills without written authorization? With the phone scamming, slamming, and cramming issues, why can't the phone companies require subsequent written permission after oral permission is granted? And why does the consumer have to spend time getting these types of fraudulent charges taken off of our bills?
