I received a letter stating that I was a lucky winner of unclaimed prize money in the amount of (Forty seven Thousand dollas ($47,000.00) in United State funds. Also enclosed was a check for ($2,980.00) which is supposed to cover the administrative payment and clearance fees of the winnings. Now first of all I'm (always) suspicious of receiving letters in the mail saying that I've won something.
The second thing that aroused my suspicion was the spelling of the word (Dollars) which they misspelled as (dollas). They also misspelled the word Prize, they spelled it (price). The third alarm the Canadian stamp on the letter. Now this is supposed to be a letter from New Jersey with an enclosed check from Georgia mailed from Canada. This set off a red alert. I decided to check out the company on the internet and that is when I came across this site confirming my suspicions.
Do not fall for this scam!
