Stamps.com, don't fall for it! They use those scam survey sites, offering money back if you sign up. You NEVER get any money, and only lose!
I cancelled service within ONE business day of the date of signing up. Called, informing them NOT to bill my credit card, which is debit. Was told I would have to pay for service for ONE day to the tune of $15.99. I said no, "do not charge my credit card". They asked for another card to charge. I do not have any others. "do not charge this account". They said they would bill me. Fine, like I'm paying them a fee for ONE day of NON-service!
Within minutes, my bank account shows a pending charge of DOUBLE the stated fees. Now I have NO recourse? Bank says, "Call the charging company." Yeah right!
By the way, the phone service person has HEAVY indian accent! BEWARE outsourced phones are also a "rip off", as you cannot fully communicate with these foreigners! We found that out the hard way with compu-serve, when the phone service personnel did not understand what "disconnected" meant when referring to dial up numbers given.
ANYWAY, DO NOT ever fall for this scam!
