I passed a class and it took 4 months to finally get the credit, which is all their fault because I submitted all documents need the day they were needed. Due to the fact it took them 4 months to award my credit, it appeared that I had withdrawn, and my student loan with them paid for that class. The financial counselor did not listen to me / did not care that I did pass the class and the school mailed off the amount of the class back to the lender therefore making my account negative. I was told if I did not pay the money it would go to a collections; and I explained I did pass the class.
My financial counselor explained the money would be refunded to me if I did in fact receive credit... Which I did. While waiting for the school to award me my credit, and since they had my money, I enrolled at another school while waiting for the credit so that I would still stay more than half time, and I informed them that when the credit was awarded and when my money was refunded, I would come back. I spoke with the lender and they knew that I was still in school more than half time... Therefor not in default. I wait a month after I have received my credit and no refund of the money. University of Phoenix with out consulting me, informing me, and bluntly lied to me.
They took the money I paid towards my account (to keep it in good status so 1. I could get my real estate license and 2. They informed me it would go to a collections agency) under duress, and just gave it to the lender. They did not even call to let me know. So finally I explained to them the situation and how now for 5 months I have been paitent and waiting for this to be resolved for more than 10 times now; and they said regaurdless if we took the money because you dropped the course and now we found out you did in fact pass the course, we will not refund your money because even though you were meeting your lenders requirements and going to another school more than half time, you were not going to our schoool *giving us more money* (because I was waiting for them to award me the credit and give me my money back, as any human being would do before doing more business with a company, so that I was capable of going back) and therefor we have to right to do whatever we want with your money.
1. That is using my money I gave them to hold onto in good faith and trust (under duress) without my permission for something I did not authorize. (I could have sent the money to the lender myself if I wanted that to happen) 2. They debited my account the 1300 dollars because I had withdrawn the course, when I did not and then I was rewarded the credit 3. I was told that I would receive the money back after I was rewarded the credit, and I was not 4. They force you to get these loans if you want to go to their school and then they trap you at this school if you do not want to default on your loan 5. They say how accredited they are when NO ONE will take their courses so they trap you by well I have already wasted all of this money, I might as well get a degree here 6. It is fraud to take my money and say that you will not touch it and refund it, and then turn around and give it to someone else, then they do not even inform you of it and say well even though you were technically never in default that is just our policy.
I have spent over $7,000 from May to December on tuition that can not transfer My money was fraudlantly laundered
I have not received services paid for Mental Pain and Anguish / Suffering for a year and around $8,000 of my money wasted when coerced and told it would transfer because they are accredited.
I am wanting to sue for $20,000 and I want the world to know that they are a fraud to prevent this from happening ever again. I want them dripped dry and we should all be refundedfor accrediation fraud. Mental pain, anguish, anxiety, fraud, and money laundering.
