Just to add to the numerous complaints about PayPal, here is mine...
I started selling on eBay about 2 months ago. I sold cell phones and got 10 positive feedbacks on eBay. PayPal called to ask where I got my phones from, and 2 days later they limited my account, asking for more verification info. I sent all the info, i.e., a utility bill showing my residence, a credit card statement, a driver's license, etc.
To date my account is still locked with over 300.00 in it. Not one buyer had complained to eBay or PayPal about not receiving an item or made any other negative comment.
I believe PayPal will lock anyone's account to gain interest on that account's money or just to steal that person's funds.
Keep in mind that you have just as much consumer protection when buying off eBay if you go to your bank and purchase a money order, etc., with your credit card, as it is your credit card's policy that defines your protections. If you do not receive your goods or feel ripped off, simply notify the credit card company and they will investigate. Avoid PayPal at all cost!
