Teach Me To Trade
Stock Market Ripoff

I'm in a unique situation here. I just went to the seminar in Reno, Nv on the 22nd of March. Pretty slick presentation. I paid by credit card $199 for some books and software that would presumably allow me to do business in stocks on the internet.in addition to that I would be able to participate in a 3 day workshop from April 12-14. There, I am supposed to get intensive training on how to use the software to make stock transactions. When I got home, I download the software and realized that you cant trade with the software provided... It just gives you a lot of data and charts. Obviously, there is a companion program that allows one to actually trade. When I saw that, I went online to check this company out... And found my way here. I should have known in the very beginning of the seminar when they said they were based in Utah. I got involved in another Utah based SCAM called John Beck, Free and Clear. This program is a mentoring scam that has ripped off uncounted thousands of dollars. They show you ways to deal in real estate tax deeds, which is a legitimate business. Problem is they take advantage of gullible people and get them to use other peoples money (OPM) by maxing out their credit cards for whatever the traffic will bear. People have lost anywhere from $2000 to $15,000 or more. They only got me for $39.95 for the original package which is worth a lot more because of the information enclosed. I almost opted in for $6500 and was ready to go to Salt Lake, Utah to meet with them and see what it was about. I wasnt about to give them a credit card #. They were willing to meet with me so I felt they were on the up and up. At the last minute, I decided to check them out and found that they had an 'F' rating at the BBB with well over 300 complaints. So, I went my own way and ordered books on Tax Liens and Deeds from the internet. Better that way than getting bilked. Several years ago, another Utah based ripoff company got $2,500 of my money to help me set up a website to sell products online. They helped me get all the way there but I found out, in the end, that without a lot of money you never get high enough on the search engines to ever be found. I'm sure they knew that, and I ended up $2,500 poorer.

So, back to Teach Me To Trade. I am going to attend the 3 day workshop and have some fun with this. I'm not worried about the $199, because I can dispute the charge and get in reversed. There is plenty of documentation for that. I hope you all know you can get your credit card transactions reversed with very little paperwork. They will send you the paperwork, investigate the company and give you a provisional credit. After 30 days or so, they will confirm the credit. Just call the customer service # on your card. Anyway, I will go to the workshop knowing what their going to try and do. I will make in a little uncomfortable for them. If anyone has any ideas how to handle this situation to best effect, let me know.
