Complaint / Review
J. Leroy Hill, Robert Heald, Robert Wilson
Disabled lady loosing home due to fraud & negligence, even lawyers. What to do? Unknown! Lubbock (x2)

Aug. 2 Purchased small, old house on acre of land from Hill. He assured me he would file all paperwork in courthouse. A contract was signed with Hill.
(please note that I was not aware of Hill's acts until years later. I am doing this chronologically)

March 21 Hill takes deed to Clayton Mobile Homes & uses it as collateral for trailer. This was financed by Vanderbilt Mortgage of Maryville, TN.

June 4 I file Ch. 13 bankruptcy using Robert Heald, attorney. The purpose was to consolidate my bills & make them more affordable on my limited income. I kept telling him & his partner, Edwin Price that my goal was to protect my home & vehicle. Hill replyed to the court & payments were made to him thru the US Trustee, Robert Wilson. My contract for property was all I had, I this was accepted as proof on the house.

April (approx) A program opened here where low-income people could qualify for their home to be repaired or replaced thru a grant. I needed a deed proving I was purchasing this. Needless to say, it was not filed in our courthouse & I immediately contacted Heald. At my appointment, both Heald & Price discussed this, but could not have deed by June's deadline.

June 9 I signed the deed of trust & it was notarized. Heald & Price stated they would contact Hill.
July 8 Hill signed Warranty Deed in Heald's office, it is notarized

July 12 I received letter from Price stating this was done, but they needed $23. To file it in our courthouse.

Aug. 3 Money order mailed to Mr. Price to file deeds.

(Note: Our county mail's tax notices in Oct of the year)

(I also want to say, anything Vanderbilt is doing at this point is not known by me at this time.)

Oct. 4 Property's deed is sold at public auction for cash.

Oct. 22 Clifford Littlefield, attorney for Vanderbilt Mortgage signs the deed to file in courthouse

Nov. 7 I did not receive the property tax notice. I investigated & found tht my deeds had never been filed! I phoned Heald immediately, then wrote letter to them demanding explanations.

Nov. 12 Deeds are filed in courthouse by Heald's office.
