I received my account statement on december 9 and on it were four charges from 3 different companies that I had never heard of. Two in the amount of $19.95 and $1.00 were from Privacy Matters 123.
I tried calling all three companies and they all wanted a debit or credit card number before you could even talk to anyone. I finally got through to privacy matters (by saying i had an emergency) and talked to a woman named christina #17377. I told her that I wanted a full refund and that I had not signed up for or used this agency. She cancelled the account and when I asked again about the refund she hung up on me.
I have tried to report them to the better business bureau but they referred me to the federal trade commission. I have a report on file with them. I have e-mailed the company and gotten no response, I don't know what else to do. I googled the company and pulled up this web-site and apparently there are many other people who have had run-ins with this company.
