When I signed up for University of Phoenix I was told that all my math credits were transferrable and that I would not have to take additional classes. I came to find out after my second class that I would have to take additional courses. I believe I was told what they think I wanted to hear in order to get me to move forward with enrollment.
I then discovered in my second class that all the learning was pretty much PDF documents and discussion amongst other students. It was that way in my first class, but since it was an introduction to online learning I figured there didn't need to be a lot of teacher interaction.
In the second class it was all reading from PDF documents and having pointless discussions with students who only cared about just having enough written to meet attendance requirements.
The learning team environment was even worse. Tons of bickering amongst students and papers that were horribly written were passed with either a B or an A. The education at UoP is horrible and not worth a penny. I learn more at the local library than I did in all three of my classes.
