It seems that the wonderful employees at the United Collections Bureau have no heart, no soul, no respect. I am like many others a person in debt. It's not like I don't want to pay my bills is that at this point I can't. For a measly 560 dollars they have contacted my home several times.
I explained to them that I am not working but in the process of starting a new position. For the past six months I have lost my job, marriage fell apart and had to move back home with my parents. All this was too overwhelming for me and I attempted suicide. I was hospitalized for a period of time and I am currently under psychiatric treatment.
I explained this to one rep over at UCB and she seemed to understant. A second rep I spoke to did not believe me. She called me a liar and a deadbeat for living off my parents and I should be ashamed for doing this. I too did my homework and read all state and federal laws when it comes to the conduct and options they are supposed to offer.
My only fear is that no matter what I say or do they will not stop bothering me.
