Well in June of I found myself very short of cash and needed rent money and other basic needs. Was in a cash crunch.
I saw the CASH CALL ad on television and felt desperate and called them, and worked with an agent over the phone and went over my contract via the internet.
I was upset, not thinking and was panicking over loosing my apartment. So they Cash Call have been electronically deducting $199.00 since June.
I called them tonight to ask them what is the status of my loan and I should be near paying it off. To my shock the Customer Rep said I still owed $2400.00. I was horrified and asked what the interest rate is for the loan, the Rep says 90% and if I carried the loan out to its conclusion I would owe $9000.00 dollars total.
I was so shocked and humiliated I asked if I paid it off tomorrow what would I owe, Rep says $2400.00. Which I don't have, this is just robbery against the naive and desperate.
I want to know if there are any lawsuits pending against this company for the outrageous interest rate, or what are my options at this point. I cannot justify paying them $9000.00 for a $2600.00 loan. Can you help me or offer some suggestions.
Thank you for your time.
