Dr. Jill Ammon-Wexler's Millionaire Mind Power (or Amplified Mind Power) is a 90-day correspondence course that promises to give you the actual brainwaves of a millionaire. I was part of the "Beta Test" program, and spent one to two hours a day faithfully doing the excercises, which involves listening to audio segments with headphones. Understandly, it was time consuming but I stuck with it because I wanted the results.
At the end of the program, I developed relaxation skills, stress reduction, and an increased awareness of brainwave training, but not the "Millionaire Mind" that was promised. Many exaggerated and manipulative claims were made by Dr Jill. These include:
(1) After 90 days, you will have the actual physical brainwaves of a millionaire. You will also have "genius level intuition" and laser focus.
(2) "This training isn't available anywhere else, from any book or set of CDs, or from any other source in the world... At ANY price! It is totally unique!" (direct quote from Dr Jill's website, hotbrainz.com)
(3) Don't listen to brainwave training from any other source than Dr Jill, or you will "mess up" your newfound "Millionaire Mind" brainwave configuration.
(4) Dr Jill claims to be a psychologist and brainwave researcher with 35 years of experience. She also claims to be a millionaire who owns homes in Idaho, Costa Rica and Vancouver Island, Canada.
Let's take a moment to examine these claims, and seperate the facts from fiction.
Claim 1: After 90 days, you will have the actual physical brainwaves of a millionaire. You will also have "genius level intuition.
Reality: If you're not a millionaire or genius going into the program, you probably won't be one at the end. Of the 300 people who took the beta test of Dr Jill's program, and none of them have turned out to be millionaires.in fact, some students have gone into debt paying for the program, along with Dr Jill's $2,500 coaching program.
By the way, Dr Jill promised the Beta test students that they'd earn $20,000 a month if they became coaches. At least 25 people signed up for her $2,500 coaching program, and now only five coaches remain. The rest have dropped out, many questioning Dr Jill's decision to charge mandatory key fees plus $5,000 for a yearly coaches license.
In terms of becoming a millionaire, the course tells you absolutely nothing about being an entrepreneur or making money. There are some references to developing your intuition, but the course won't turn you into a genius. (Or give you genuis intuition) In terms of laser focus, this is another exaggerated claim that probably doesn't happen. What the course will teach you is relaxation techniques, stress reduction and brainwave entrainment.
Claim 2: There is nothing like this program on the market today.in other words, it is a unique, one-of-a-kind experience.
Reality: The marketplace is flooded with brainwave entrainment music and audio cds. To her credit, Dr Jill has developed an online correspondence course that combines printed material with audio segments, with a specific goal in mind. The course's emphasis is on training your brainwaves and developing a certain brainwave configuration held by millionaires. Dr Jill claims this configuration is her unique one-of-a-kind discovery. However, a little research reveals that the Millionaire Mind configuration is actually Maxwell Cade's Awakened Mind configuration, published in 1979.
Mr Cade is now deceased, but the awakened mind is actively promoted by one of his students, Anna Wise. She has written two books on this subject. If you get the "Awakened Mind" book at the library, you'll see that the main brainwave configurtion is exactly the same as Dr Jill's. Yet Dr Jill claims this configuration was her unique discovery. When you use the same exact words and phrases, isn't that plagarism? Dr Jill appears to have borrowed much of her ideas from Anna Wise. If Dr Jill would have given Anna credit, that would be different... But Dr Jill claims this is her unique discovery. This simply isn't true.
By the way, Anna Wise & Maxwell Cade based their configuration on meditators, yogis, and other "enlightened" people. Dr Jill claims her configuartion is based on millionaires. This claim appears to be a marketing ploy, with no solid evidence to back it up. Dr Jill shows the graphics of a supposed millionaire with the ideal brainwave configuration, but who is this person? There is no way to verify the accuracy, validity and reliablity of this information.
"Millionaire Mind Power" also costs hundreds of dollars more than "Awakened Mind" brainwave cds. Once Dr Jill's course is over, all you have left is 12 booklets. (There is one short booklet for each week of the program) The audio segments are posted online and you can't revisit them once the course is complete.
In contrast, a hard copy of Anna Wise's Awakened Mind cd series (4 cds) sells for $25 and it contains many of the same excercises that Dr Jill uses in her program. Dr Jeffrey Thompson sells several "Awakened Mind" cds ($25 to $35) with spectacular musical scores that entrain the brain and are pleasing to listen to. Plus, Dr. Thompson's end result in terms of brainwave configuration is the same.
Claim 3: Don't listen to brainwave training from any other source than Dr Jill, or you will "mess up" your newfound "Millionaire Mind" brainwave configuration.
Reality: This would be understandbale if Dr Jill made this suggestion for the duration of the course (90 days.) Students should focus on the material at hand, and not be distracted by other sources of brainwave training.
The problem is that Dr Jill wants us to stick with her brand of brainwave training for the rest of our lives. One student asked, "When can I start listening to my Centerpointe cds again?" Dr Jill replied, "Never! You might as well throw them away. If you start listening to Centerpointe again you'll mess up your Millionaire Mind configuration."
Can you really "mess up" your configuration once it is established? It is interesting that Dr Jill also maintains that her brainwave training creates lasting, permanent changes. Which is it? Perhaps what Dr Jill really wants is lifetime subscribers of her Brain Gym at $9.95 a month.
Claim 4: Dr Jill claims to be a psychologist and brainwave researcher with 35 years of experience. She also claims to be a millionaire who owns homes in Idaho, Costa Rica and Vancouver Island, Canada.
Reality: Dr. Jill's credentials cannot be verified. She is a graduate of Columbia Pacific University, which was shut down by the state of California for being a diploma mill. "Doctor" Jill's background is actually in substance abuse and not brain research or neuro-psychology.
Dr Jill claims to be a millionaire, but one of the students earth-googled her address on Vancouver Island and found a trailer park!
In conclusion, Dr Jill makes alot of claims about herself and the Millionaire Mind Program that are misleading and inaccurate. If you're interested in brainwave training, look elsewhere.
