Advanced Centers of Technology & Training (ACTT), Quincy, MA.

I enrolled in the above school, it closed before I could finish the first on-line, self paced course. After it closed I got a letter from Sallie Mae and Mass DOE. I sent them the information they asked and now years later, I noticed it is still on my credit report. The loan had been in Forbearance for years now, and I never have been notified.

Now that I am trying to get a mortgage, I contaced Sallie Mae and they say the MASS DOE. Is investigating it. I contact Mass DOE and they say they do not have any record of me being enrolled. I do not understand they had me on record back in 2003 but now they do not have me on record. I have a letter from the Mass DOE. That states right on it, and I quote "We have received your name from Advanced Centers Of Technology & Training you were enrolled when the school closed." I have sent this back to them many of times and they say they received my name from various sources. That was there response.

I also sent them a letter from Salle Mae that states they sent money to Advanced Centers Of Technology and Training on me behalf. They also are not excepting this. They say I need an enrollment agreement. Right on the Mass. DOE website it states that ACTT in most cases did not use an enrollement agreement, that they used the schools application. I do not have that application the school did. On the Mass DOE. Website they also state that if you do not have the enrollement agreement or the loan application to check there 'School Closure List' for the contact. Go figure, the only closed school that does not have a contact is Advanced Centers Of Technology and Training.

I have contacted my State Rep. He was unable to help out fully. Though he did get the mass doe to finally answer my letters. I have also contacted a Mass State Senator and a Mass State Congressman, who are now contacting the Mass DOE on my behalf.

I just got my first letter back in response of the State Congressman and Senator contacting the Mass. Doe. The response from the Mass DOE, is exactly the same as it has been. They are saying they do not have me enrolled with the school. I just sent the State Congressman and Senator, the letter from the Mass. DOE that I quoted earlier and the sallie mae letter.

I am really looking for other students of ACTT to contact me and see if they are also going through the same thing. I feel I cannot be the only one. Any help is much appreciated. Please feel free to contact me.
