Check Processing Bureau Enforcement Division sent me a very threatening letter, re: returned checks. They claim to be the debt "buyer" for CERTEGY.
I called a Mr Doug Lewis, upon receipt of my letter. He assured me he would clear it all up. I asked, how would i be sure it was clear, i was told, I would know because I would not hear from them again. I asked him if he would notify CERTEGY, he assured me he would.
ENTER... JBC, and a Mrs Goodyear, who said that her company bought the debt this year from Check Processing Bureau, illegally, as it is paid. Could she help me, NO, but she felt bad. Can anyone help me, they gave me the number for the CORPORATE offices of CERTEGY where I got a complete run around, seems NOONE there can touch that computer to update anything as paid, but they sure do keep all negative info.
Thankfully, check writing is becoming a thing of the past, because I have not been able to clear this in many years. I have spent hours trying. Now, August they claim, certain divisions of CERTEGY were bought by 'FIDELTY'. I would change my name to if I were certegy.
CHECKWRITERS BEWARE. Total scammers, each company involved in "collecting" this already paid debt, are all listed on this site. Wouldn't you think someone HIGH UP AT CERTEGY/FIDELITY. Would read all of these, and realize, all of us from different parts of the country cannot be wrong.
