A continuing saga into threats and intimidation by Certegy
Certegy Check Services is privately owned Tampa-St. Pete company that collects checks for its customers. On 6/11 my personal check to Walgreens Pharmacy for $12.18 was denied because of Certegy’s unconscionable reporting, even though I had paid Walgreens more than $2,800.00 for medicines in the prior six months without any problems.
Certegy bases its negative report on a check they claim to be a “bad check” to Best Buy in 2009. However, the check copy Certegy provides states clearly that it was a ”stop payment” check (not “bad” or “insufficient funds”). This was communicated to Certegy in 2009 as the merchandise (notebook) purchased from Best Buy was returned within 24 hours of purchase to their store (their policy) because it not work properly fitting the intended needs. The return receipt was provided to Certegy, yet years later I am still intimidated by Certegy without their full and complete research.
They simply will not do the proper research and would rather differ to the weak and intimidated and continue to pursue big accounts like Walgreens so that perhaps one day the private owners call sell big.
What a scam!
