I was contacted in May asking if I wanted to sell my timeshare. I told the person who called "Dwayne" that I did not have any money, that my funds were limited, going through horrible divorce with no child support, husband an alcoholic and could not afford it. I also told him I already had it listed with Worldwide.
He swore there was someone who wanted to buy it. I would have $10,000 in my pocket within two weeks. I told him no. He continued and continued and called me back. I was shopping at the time, I remember it very well, I was having a bad day and I was in my car just sitting there crying.
Again, I told him I had no money. He contined over and over with "I promise, listen to me, I want to help you, why would you not want this money, I guarantee." After believing in him and what he had to say, I told him yes.
A girl called back to confirm the transaction and I told her that he said it would be sold and she said, "we cannot make any promises, that it will be sold." So I told her no. Dwayne then called me back and said, "listen to me, it is sold, we just cannot say that on the phone but I want to help you, our conversations were at length" and he convinced me and told me to please trust him, he wants to help me and my children. I believed in what he told me.
After two weeks, of course, it was not sold and I was in debt $850. I told him this has affected my children's school clothes, etc. I have several confirmation faxes where I sent to him. Of course, he tells me how sorry he is, they backed out, he cannot change that. I continue to call and he continues to tell me to "cheer up" Well, I continue to call and send him faxes, he promised me!!!
Christmas was coming and I explained my situation, Eric wanted to know the ages of my children, hoping he could help, just trust in him, it will be sold. I even reduced the price but went on line and saw where he never reduced it.
Later, I called again, and he told me "if you send me pictures of yourself, it will help me to sell it, what do you look like? What color of hair do you have?" I asked him "why?" and he said, "this will help me sell it if I see what you look like."
I called the next day and supposedly talked to his supervisor or someone over him and I explained this whole story to him. He said he was sorry. This person's name is Eric. He told me Dwayne handled this wrong and he would be either terminated or be suspended, not sure of the length of time but this matter will be brought before the review board and apologized and told me he would handle my timeshare differently, asked a lot of questions, etc.,
I had a strange feeling and called under a different name and from a different phone number and asked for Dwayne, guess what? He answered the phone. I called several times and he was "still there." This was during the following weeks.
I called and talk to Eric and told him that he was still there and he was very smart and said, "what are you doing? Calling here pretending to be someone else?" and he got very hateful and upset me and started twisting my words or trying to at least. He was ugly, rude and started talking me to me horribly because I checked on Dwayne.
I told him that was wrong and he said, "we never said he would be suspended for a long time." anyhow, I could write a book but it would be better to personally talk to someone.
I told Eric that my family was very upset, I went home that day crying and a relative was there, Eric called my cell phone and was very smart with this person and this person did tell him he would "personally bring him pictures of me." Eric started tapping into the phone and said, "I don't hear you, I don't hear you." Can you believe it? These are actual "people."
In the meantime, I get a call from someone named Vick from Global asking if I wanted to sell my timeshare. I went along with him and told him I had it listed with another company who has been so ugly and hateful, he told me he could get my money back from that company.
So after this call, I called to talk to Eric and he said, my timeshare has been removed from the interent, they will not try to sell it and they will NOT refund my money. They were threatened and will not pursue it any further. It was okay for them to talk to me the way they talked to me but no one was suppose to talk to them like that, the story even gets worse.
I told him that God would get him, I had nothing further to say, I had been through some difficulties. My father just passed away in Febuary, he lived next to me, having to deal with that loss and then my aunt died. He said to me, "did your aunt die or did she get killed, get your story straight." I could not believe it. I told him I believe in a Holy God and he will pay for the way this company is doing people. He said, "what?" where did your tailbone come from, we are from apes and was laughing at me.
I went on line to BBB and found the vice president's name and called him, and talked to him about five minutes, he said he would call me back. He never called me back so I called and told to the receptionist and she said to me "good luck on your mystery search." and they told me I never talked to him because he doesn't exist. I did talk to him or should I say I talked to someone who pretended to be him.
So here I am, out again, these people are so dishonest, I want them stopped and will talk to anyone I can.
On another note, I also have a timeshare listed through Worldwide and guess what? When you call worldwide timeshare, it is the same people at Global and no one returns my phone calls.
It is one thing to be dishonest, lie, cheat and take people's money but it is another thing to ask for pictures, to go through the horrible things this past year has brought to me, share this with "human beings" and be laughed at.
This is awful.
I will file a report with BBB and also will continue to do whatever I can to stop these people from hurting others. I feel so sorry for the elderly people who do not have access to a computer, etc., and who trust in people who actually say "the are" who they are.
