Ripoff uses Transunion to fake collections

I received a notice from RJM stating that I owe $86.33 from an old debt they purchased. The old debt is allegedly from 2003. When I called to inquire what the debt was for, they could only tell me the name of the company they acquired it from which rang no bells. They then said they would try to get the original file from the company.

Here it is, two months later, and I've heard nothing. I called this morning and don't you know... They "closed out" the file as a dispute on the day I originally called two months ago. Thanks for informing me! However, I pulled my credit report from all three agencies last week and they show up only on Transunion. RJM told me they notified the company that the account was cleared. NOT!

Whats also interesting is that they "re-aged" the debt making it look like it initiated a couple years ago. I just got their notice dated March 28 and immediatly disputed it on April 3! RJM is in cohoots with Transunion, who I've always thought was a bit shady and not up to date anyway.

SO now I have to file a dispute with Transunion. This is fraud by both RJM and Transunion. You can't get me to believe Transunion hasn't noticed a lot of these problems with RJM! Thankfullly, as has been my experience, most quality companies don't use Transunion anyway!
