Complaint / Review
McFarland Consulting
Ripoff

I got very aggressive early Saturday morning call from apparently McFarland Consulting. They never identified themselves other than saying that as a good taxpayer I was eligible for $5000 US government grant via 30 minutes program approval. It was very difficult to understand anything they were saying as they spoke with the strong accent. The initial caller identified herself as Jenny Wilson. Later, her apparent supervisor with similar accent identified himself as Max Smith.

They refused to provide any information on themselves, but asked multiple questions on my identity (first/last names, birthday, address, 4 last digits of social security, banking account and routing number, etc.).

They also said that the only way of paying money was to wire them directly to my bank account (no checks).in order to authorize a procedure they wanted me to go through their voice mail service and confirm all my information.in addition they said they would charge my account of $289, but only after transfer of $5000 would be completed.

When I refused to go ahead, they were very persistent and called me back 3 more times.

Thanks to the information on this site, that made possible to identify the crooks.
