I went to Al Collins about 10 years ago. I was fresh out of high school and looking for a college to attend. I came across Al Collins and immediately started looking into it.
I made an appointment to speak to some woman about the school, what kind of technology and kind of degree offered. I decided to enroll two days later, after all they had told me my degree would transfer to any school I decided to go to, to continue my education. What a deal... FOR THEM! Months later and $13,000 in debt, classmates started chatting and I had learned that the degree was bogus!
I called Arizona State and spoke to a teacher from the art department. He was nice enough to say that I was wasting my time and that in fact students from Al Collins were a "red flag" to companies.
I filed a complaint and went through the grievance procedure. I finally had my day to speak in front of the board that over sees trade schools. Unfortunately, Al Collins sent in their layers who spoke beyond my years and I was left red faced and speechless. It came down to "he said - she said". Maybe if I had brought a layer I would have been taken a little more seriously.
Anyway my blood still boils when I see or hear about the school, which by the way I believe they changed their name after Collins retired or quit.
