My name is Clint and I went to Collins College for an Associate's degree in the Visual Communications back in 1999 and 2001. I went to Collins college when it was Al Collins Graphic Design School. They changed the name when I was in school, should of though about it then but being young and going to school you don't really think about it. There was people outside almost every day picketing and complaining about the school, but I was in school I just figured the school did something to them you know.
After that, it was great your classes were 5 weeks each, Monday thru Thursday and there is a lot more information than time to learn it. Then you find out some of the teachers know what they're doing, and some do not. I agree with the other rip-offs, those teachers are underqualified.
Not only do employers not like Collins students, most colleges and universities don't take the credits I found that out when I got out of school and tried to get I design job, still to this day I get letters in the mail saying not Quailified and so I wanted to go back to school but I would have to start all over again.
So I went back to Collins college to get my B.A. And Had really know idea what I was doing. They didn't prepare me for the web design market. I needed to know more programs. Just another way to rip people off, get more money.
So here I am just like half of my classmates working at dead end jobs and sitting here with a piece of paper that says I have a degree but do I really? If there was only a way we could fight back and get our money back for a worthless piece of paper. We must band together and close them down. I urge all who read this, not to go to this school. It's a waste of your precious money and talent, and will do you more harm than good. I regret it everyday. I just found out about this web site or I would have talked about this along time ago, and so would've all my classmates just like me
