I gave the company a week and a half notice of my resignation before paychecks were supposed to arrive and I gave them my forwarding adress because I was moving to California. She assured me my check would be in by Thursday, April 6th and that they would send it to my home. Thursday comes around and still no check a week and a half later. I call them and she says the check has been there even though I never received a phone call of this. She assures me that they will send over that same day.
Monday comes around and still no check. I call to see what is going on and they tell me they went to the post office on Thursday and the line was too long so they still haven't sent it. At this point I have three outstanding bills and late fees and she's telling me the line is too long at the post office when these same women get their nails done during the day and are constantly out grabbing fast food?! I then tell her how I have bills and she needs to overnight this check or same day deliver it and she hangs up on me.
I try calling back several times and I even call the district manager and still no response to my missing check. Finally on the 12th I call back and I talk to Holly the Academy Director and she says that they sent it out today and I ask her if she overnighted the check due to it being so late and she said it's not my call to make about how they sent it and hung up. I can't believe how unprofessional and shady this company turned out to be.
You would never guess that walking in because you see it as a school filled with innocent children so you think these people looking after them have to be decent.
I also want to warn people about their advertising. I applied for a Program Assistant Director position which is supposed to be the right hand person of the Academy Director and they told me I was in management training learning hiring, interviewing, enrollment, marketing and bottom line how to manage a school and its employees. What they in fact have me doing was washing dishes in the kitchen and changing diapers.
This was NO management training rather it was daycare teacher's assistant's assistant position. They just needed extra help because no one would work there so they knew that I had my degree and would never go for a position like that so they gave me a fake title and job responsibilities to suck me in.
PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! They seem wholesome and good when you walk in again, because of the environment but all they really are is a bunch of old unhappy and shady women who screw people over and don't care. This company is rotten from the top down. The district manager, Stephanie Workman who was soooo helpful the entire time I worked there wouldn't pick up a single phone call of mine regarding this matter nor did she return them either knowing what her employees were doing. They are all unscrupulous and cheat people out of what's theirs and leave you to deal with credit bureau's coming after you for money you owe!
