Onlingo advertises that they will send you 3 free CD's to learn Spanish, and if you decide to keep the service, then they will charge you a subscription fee. I cancelled the service within 30 days but was charged $69.95 for 3 Spanish CD's.
What kind of business does not allow cancellation within 30 days? ONLINGO! Not obvious - You must return at least one CD qwithin 10 days - not much turn aruond time - or yuo risk losing 69.95. Not only that, the language CD's are not very good.
According to California law, the seller must conspiciously disclose the return policy of less than 30 days, or the buyer can return the item for a refnud.
If a store violates this law (California Civil Code section 1723), the purchaser can return an item for a full refund within 30 days of purchase.
