First Christian Academy
Bad services, ripoff

To Whom It May Concern:

I applied a student visa for my cousin, and the tuition fee ($5800) was being asked by Mrs. Diane Duvall, the school's principal, to pay up front. If the student can't get the visa issued by the US Consulate, the school will refund the full money. I paid with my Bank of America cashier check on Dec 16th and the check was being cashed out on Dec 19th.

I contacted her on Feb 6th to report that my cousin was not being granted the visa and faxed her all the requested documents on Feb 7th.

I was able to speak to her on Feb 8th and Feb 13th but she seems not to work on it and promised to call me back in a few days. I asked her to write a letter showing that the school is on the process working to refund the money but she said that there is nothing to do with the school.

After getting tired of waiting for the call back, I came to her office and left a note for a teacher (Ms. Alicia) on Feb 16th while Mrs. Duvall wasn't there, and she still didn't call me back regarding of the refund status as she spoke on the phone since Tuesday (02-07).

On February 24th, I went to the school with a friend as a witness for the conversation with Mrs. Diane Duvall. She promised to give me the full refund back and I should be able to receive the check by certify mail from the 7th to 9th of March. I waited up to the 10th of March but still didn't receive anything from her. I called to check several times and got lucky to speak to her on the 13th and I was told the money got sent out on Friday 10th by her employee.

I checked the mail box whenever I get home from work, and finally I got the envelope without return address on March 16th which has postal stamp on March 15th. I was shocked when I opened the envelope with a check for $2800 that was made on February 17th and a letter saying that my other $3000 is non-refundable.

After several calls, I was able to get hold of her on March 17th, so I asked her for an explanation and reminded her that the student is not even in the US and about the promise she made when I paid and when I came up there to see her on February 24th with a friend. She hung up on me and didn't pick up the phone when I called back.

I'm really disappointed with the attitude and services she has been giving. I'm really being ripped off. If there is any additional question that you might have regarding of this matter, you can contact me by using the rebuttal box below.

Sincerely
