Financial Aid rip offs, inconsistancy in instruction and keeping counselors

Axia College Financial Aid office harasses students. I have been harassed by phone and by e-mail by my counselor about submitting verification for my aid. Like the last time I applied I was "randomly" selected to submit my taxes yet again. When I asked why I had to again I was told it was because if you were selected the first time you would most likely reselected just because (tell me how is that "random"?) because why I don't know and could not be told a reason.

So it took time to get a copy of my taxes because I did them online and they were not available at that time. When I did get them I had to fax them numerous times because they were never received (big surprise). The same thing happened last time and I had to use several different fax machines just to get it in. I don't even know if/when I will be able to start my next block of classes because they have not received my taxes. I am tired of faxing it so many times, maybe they need a new machine or another number to offset the amount of faxes they get so all of them come through. The fax machines I have at work send you a "send failed" page if it did not go through, and not once did I ever get one so I know it went through ok. It's not my fault if they don't get it.

That is not my only beef with this school, the counselors and instructors are another issue. They just can't seem to keep counselors, either they transfer or quit. I lost count of how many times my counselors were changed just this last block of classes; in fact I don't even know who my academic counselor is because I never heard from him/her.

As for the instructors, some of them should not be teaching. My first block I had so much trouble with one of my instructors that I had to call my counselor on a DAILY basis because I got no where with him. I e-mailed my instructor many times and was asked by my counselor to cc her with what I wrote and forward anything he sent me so I could file a complaint. This went on for most of my class but never got any better, thank goodness the classes are only 9 weeks and not longer I couldn't take any more than that with this instructor.

Also there is a huge inconsistency with assignment submission. My first block it did not matter how late your assignment was there were no points deducted for it being late, assignments that were more than 4 days late were even accepted. This is against Axia policy which dictates that there will be a 10% deduction in points for each day an assignment was late and no assignments are to be accepted after 4 days. The next block assignments that were late did not have deductions either. My third block is when points started to be deducted, with the exception being that if it was submitted shortly after midnight that it would be ok but any later than that and points were taken off. This last bock if the assignment was submitted any time after midnight no matter how much after it was late. The only exception has been the final project/test that has to be in by midnight Arizona time no matter where you live at least they are consistant somewhere right?

At first I was excited about attending school here because it meant that I did not have to go to a physical classroom which would give me more time with my family. Now I am not too sure about the whole thing, and the only reason I am going on is because I am almost done and it would be a waste to quit now.
