False Information and Horrible Tuition costs. Basically lying about how much you'd owe if you drop out ripoff Internet

Hello. I'm writing you because I happen to be one of the students that got ripped off by American Intercontinental University. I guess the best way to continue this letter is to tell you what exactly is going on.

Just like another former student, I was lied to about my school finances. First to start off, I knew that my tuition would be a lot and I had the funds to pay for most of it. With the way my financial aid was I would be short like by 600$ which was something I could deal with. But when I sent in all the information I was required to send in, like my W-2's and my parents as wellthey went on my FAFSA form and changed my tuition and my funds didn't cover even half of that. My father's income is what they said the problem wasbut I don't see how that could be when I went to far more expensive colleges and my tuition was covered and then I had money left over.

Anyways after that I went through a lot of problems as far as a way of paying for school. I was force to sign a promissory note for the rest of my tuitionand my loan didn't even cover all that. I had to agree to monthly payments that at one point were less then 150.00$. The next thing I know it shoots up to 285$. I explained my situation of me being in debt that I desperately needed to handle and I was told I could be worked with. So I tried everything they said, but no luck with loans because my credit is bad.

So I just figured that I would manage the best way I could. Eventually I knew I couldn't miss payments to pay the school so I told my old advisor and new one that I wanted to drop out. My new advisor would NOT respond to my e-mails or my phone calls. Finally I e-mail him and it was a little rude but he returned my e-mail and I told him I wanted to withdrawal.

So one day I receive a phone call from AIU asking me if I was sure that I wanted to drop out. Of course I said yes because I couldn't afford the payments. And the person I was speaking to told me to finish out until the course ending, which was December 17th. He said because I would get charged for the course anyways. So I agreed. I asked him how would I be charged and he told me I would only have to pay for to monthly fees (the time I was there). I never thought that I would end up owing close enough to 3000$. I was only told I would pay 285 for November and December.

I never paid because I felt they were wrong. As a matter of fact I was set to start paying off that money of 182 a month. But I feel that I was conned so I'm not. I would like to make sure everyone who looks into AIU really LOOKS. The thing i hear people want the most for others to have is an education, but it's very hard for people who want to go and can't afford it. Thank you.
