In March I subscribed to Jason Hommel's monthly newsletter. We had just brought home our new baby from the hospital and we were busy as bees. Being so tired I inadvertantly entered yearly subscription as opposed to monthly. As soon as I realized my error (within 48 hours) I contacted him by email and asked that the change could be made to monthly.
He agreed by email and nothing transpired. Not only did I get billed approximately $500. Canadian funds but he cancelled my subscription after sending only one single copy. I contacted their help line on numerous occasions and left many messages for him to get back to me.
I informed my credit card of the rip off and indicated that I wouldn't pay the balance of what was not due to non-receipt of contracted obligation. What a mistake. It tarnished my credit file and caused me loads of credit problems and headaches. My credit was impeccable up to that point. The credit issue was finally resolved with me paying about $500 to the collection agency.
Needless to say, I don't know why he has a tlephone hotline when he doesn't make the slightest effort to return phone calls. Him being the Preacher that he is makes me wonder where he would classify theft in his Bible.
Thanks for nothing Mr. Hommel. The Lord does witness your actions.
