Very persistent salesperson Kelly Matthews made daily calls estolling the virtues of his company, promising to sell our timeshare and offering guarantees.
Approximately 3 months after paying & registering our time share with him, I received ANOTHER call from ANOTHER timeshare sales company in Las Vegas advising that Resort To Us had gone bankrupt and vacated their premises.
If you can believe it, this NEW company promised to try and get me a refund of the money paid to Resort to Us BUT FIRST, I would have to pay to register the timeshare with them!
I have read the other reports from fellow timeshare owners respecting Resort To Us who are in a similar predicament. Beware of similar phone calls to that referenced above.
I notice that many of you who were ripped off are fellow Canadians. Of course we are unaware of the US laws respecting bankruptcy, fraud, etc. And it would probably be a costly endeavor for us to pursue some type of legal action individually.
If there is anyone out there who knows the applicable laws and was similarly ripped off who can champion a lawsuit on behalf of us all, please include me!
