I am recovering from major surgery and i usually answer the phone but my husband got the "call" early one Saturday morning. He talked for quite a few minutes, then hung up. He complained that this company ADVANTAGE AMERICA had told him about a "grant" but after falling for it, he realized after asking a-lot of questions it was a rip off. He said over and over to cancel the transaction and got hung up on.
The operater called back and spoke to my daughter and told her to tell my husband that he had our "routing number" and hung up on her. Needless to say. $49.95 came out of our bank acct. We called them and waited on hold forever but was guaranteed there would be no more transactions and also we couldnt get the $49.95 back because my husband was recorded saying he accepted.
Today i got a shock when $299.95 was taken out of our acct. Thank god i pulled up this web site and folowed editors suggestions and called my bank... Well im getting my $299.95 back and ill be busy changing our acct.in the morning. Good lesson! Thanks everyone for filling your report and thank you usacomplaints.com!!!
