Ripoff Charges $1.00 for rebates placed into Paypal Account On Line

I spend part of my time in PA and the rest in AZ.in order to get my rebate I have it deposited into my PayPal Account, because they refuse to send the check to either one or the other of my verified Addresses. My Credit Card Company has no problem dealing with this, but it seems Onrebate does.

I complained to the Attorney General of both States. The PA AG fell for the lame excuse that Onrebate gave them. That many people prefer paying the $1.00 convenience fee for faster processing. AZ AG did not fall for it and is preparing an investigation. However my PA Senator and Senator Arlen Spector have forwarded the complaint to the US AG. They are also going to introduce Bills Making the Company issuing the Rebate responsible or perhaps requiring an instant rebate when the purchase is made. Letting the Seller collect the rebate from the Manufacturer would be one way. This would put companies like OnRebate out of business.

Several Companies that used to use them have changed to direct mailing or deposit to Paypal without charge. Tiger's Policy is worthless since there is a limit to the amount of times they allow you to use that Guarantee. So If I complain about a Couple of $5.00 rebates then don't get a $300.00 on a Computer I'm out the $300.00.

I have begun to use other Companies that do not use rebates or even if I have to pay slightly more. I know I won't be ripped off. I know a buck isn't much but it's the gall of taking part of your money that is offensive. Perhaps a Class Action Lawsuit will end this practice.
